Para mí, París siempre ha sido la ciudad más bonita del mundo. Y no sólo por sus amplias avenidas, sus preciosas luces o sus impresionantes monumentos, sino también por su gente, por su idioma y por su historia.
For me, Paris has always been the most beautiful city in the world. Not just because of its wide avenues, its beautiful lights or its impressive monuments, but also because of its people, its language and its history.
Un idioma que suena a canción, y una historia que nos lo ha dado todo en muchos sentidos. París, Francia, nos dio una nueva forma de entender el mundo con derechos humanos y con libertad; nos enseñó que los sueños se pueden lograr; y nos mostró que «liberté, egalité y fraternité» no es sólo un lema.
A language that sounds like a song and a history that has given us everything in many ways. Paris, France, brought us a new way of understanding the world with human rights and freedom; taught us that everybody can achieve the dreams, and showed us that «liberté, egalité and fraternité» isn’t just a claim.
Y ahora quieren borrar nuestra libertad, quieren eliminar nuestra igualdad y quieren tachar la fraternidad de nuestros pueblos, y para ello se han llevado por delante la vida de muchas personas.
And now they want to delete our freedom, they want to erase our equality and they want to cross out the fraternity of our our peoples, and with that aim they have swept away the lives of many people.
Demostremos que pese a las desavenencias del día a día seguimos estando todos unidos, enseñemos a Francia que ha sido un buen maestro, y devolvamos la luz a París y a todas las ciudades del mundo. Lo más triste de todo es que hayan tenido que morir tantas personas, de nuevo, para que abramos los ojos y volvamos a valorar nuestra libertad.
Let’s show them that in spite of all everyday disagreements, we are all still united; let’s let France see that has been a great master, and let’s bring the light back to Paris and all cities in the world. The most sad thing is such a lot people have had to die, again, so that we decide to open our eyes and take into account our freedom.
